Dr.T.M Thomas Isaac

Former Finance Minister of Kerala

“Hundreds of boats arriving for rescue operations needed diesel, petrol, and kerosene. They took up the task, which was pending since the first day. They had to fill containers with petrol, diesel, and kerosene from pumps and transport them to the shore where boats were anchored. They had to keep accurate accounts and even join rescue operations if needed. They took up the task with dedication and ensured that not a single boat went without fuel. On rescue days, Grey Aiders were the first to arrive at the finishing point and the last to leave. Now that everything is over, they came to meet me again. I gave them a big salute.”
