GreyAiders, a registered Non-Governmental Organisation founded in 2017, is dedicated to fostering community readiness initiatives by harnessing the potential of human resources, particularly among youth, to drive meaningful impact in critical areas such as disaster management, civil defence, youth empowerment, women empowerment, and human resource development.
The organisation’s Crisis Response Team demonstrated its capabilities during the devastating Kerala Floods of 2018, working as a special task team under the guidance of then Alappuzha Sub-Collector Sri. Krishna Teja IAS, in close collaboration with the Alappuzha District Administration to provide critical support. This partnership laid the groundwork for future collaborations, showcasing GreyAiders’ value as a trusted partner in community development and crisis response.
In recognition of its exemplary service, the District Administration collaborated with GreyAiders to launch Project S.T.A.R in 2020, aimed at leveraging the organisation’s expertise in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative cemented GreyAiders’ position as a key player in community resilience and development, ultimately leading to its appointment as the Nodal Agency for the District Administration. Through this partnership, GreyAiders continues to work towards its mission of empowering individuals and communities, fostering a culture of collaboration and resilience.
